- Bedrooms: fans, lights, closets, shelves, corners, windowsills, tracks, baseboards, door frames, wall scuffs, and floor last.
- Living areas: fans, lights, shelves, ledges, built-ins, windowsills, tracks, baseboards, door frames, switches, outlets, handles, scuffs, and floors.
- Whole home: vents, returns, blinds, interior windows when included, doors, frames, handles, garage sweep when applicable, and lease-required outdoor areas.
What Gets Missed Most Often
Move-out inspections often flag the same areas: oven, refrigerator, door frame tops, cabinet tops, vent covers, hidden baseboards, window tracks, closets, bathroom fans, and behind appliances.
Clean top to bottom. Dust and debris fall. If you clean low areas first, they can get dirty again.
